MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

Online renewal is now available for College members from November 1, 2011 to March 16, 2012. To renew your membership online, you must have an email address on file with the College. more

GUIDE FOR INACTIVE MEMBERS

A member of the College may wish to become an inactive member because he or she has either permanently or temporarily withdrawn from the practice of social work or social service work. more

UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION

If you change employers or move, you must advise the College in writing within 30 days. The College is required to have the current business name and address of members available to the public. more

PROFESSIONAL INCORPORATION

As a result of amendments to the Social Work and Social Service Work Act and the Ontario Business Corporations Act, and the by-laws made under the Act, social workers and social service workers are now permitted to incorporate for the purpose of practising social work or social service work, provided that they obtain Certificates of Authorization from the College. more

ELECTIONS

The College Council is comprised of seven social workers and seven social workers who are elected by members of the College. more

ANNUAL MEETING & EDUCATION DAY

Each year, the College hosts an education day in conjunction with its Annual Meeting. The event is open to members only and provides a full day of education and networking opportunities. more

PANDEMIC PLANNING

A pandemic is a worldwide epidemic in which a disease spreads easily and rapidly. Although there is no way to predict when the next pandemic will occur, many experts believe that it is overdue and planning must take place to deal with such emergency. more

COLLEGE REGISTER

The Social Work and Social Service Work Act states that the College must maintain a public register of its members. Any person may request a copy of all or part of the Register of members of the College. more
