The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) is happy to announce that it will be holding its virtual Educational Forum on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. The Educational Forum is part of the Glenda McDonald Educational Series.
The College is pleased to have Sherrie Moore, MSW, RSW, Service Director, Family and Children’s Services Niagara, and Elizabeth Sault, Indigenous Healing and Wellness Program Coordinator & Indigenous Advocate, as keynote speakers for this year’s Forum. Sherrie and Elizabeth’s keynote address, entitled The Journey to Unity: Disrupting Racism and Decolonizing Child Welfare, will focus on the work being done by the Unity Team at Family and Children Services Niagara and their collaborations with Indigenous partners.
Participation and the CCP
College members can use their attendance at the Educational Forum towards completing their Continuing Competence Program (CCP). The CCP ensures that social workers and social service workers are qualified, enhance their knowledge on an ongoing basis, and remain up to date in their practice throughout their careers.
