The College held its 2023 Annual Meeting and Education Day (AMED) virtually on June 13, 2023. With almost 2,600 registered attendees, this year’s AMED was a tremendous success! We invite registrants to watch the videos of the AMED sessions — the theme of which was Making the Connection: Professionalism, Accountability and Public Protection — on the College website and YouTube channel.
The AMED 2023 videos available on the College website and YouTube channel are as follows:
Annual Meeting
- Welcome Message and Opening Intention
- Council Chair’s Report
- Auditor’s Report
- Registrar’s Report
- Question Period
Educational Sessions
- Shattered Trust: Strategies to Address the Sexual Abuse of Clients
- The Office of the Chief Coroner – Child and Youth Death Review and Analysis Unit
- A Closer Look at Competence
- Boundary Considerations in Clinical Practice
Please note: At the request of the keynote speaker, the keynote address was only available live and therefore not available as a recording.
Contribution to your CCP
Watching AMED video recordings counts towards the completion of your Continuing Competence Program (CCP), even if you didn’t watch the event live. The CCP ensures that social workers and social service workers are qualified, enhance their knowledge on an ongoing basis, and remain up to date in their practice throughout their careers.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s AMED – the speakers, Council members, the AMED Planning Group, College staff and everyone who tuned in to watch!
