2024 Annual Meeting and Education Day

The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers is happy to announce that it will be holding its virtual Annual Meeting & Education Day (AMED) on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.

Employers are encouraged to share this great educational opportunity with their social work and social service work staff members. College registrants can use their attendance at this year’s AMED towards their 2024 Continuing Competence Program (CCP).

WHAT TO EXPECT AT AMED 2024

This year’s theme is Engage and Evolve: Collaborative Approaches to Care. The College is pleased to have Uppala Chandrasekera, MSW, RSW, as the keynote speaker. Her presentation, entitled Unlocking Our Superpower: The Hidden Power of Social Work and Social Service Work, will discuss the pivotal role that social workers and social service workers play in dismantling systemic barriers, fostering inclusivity and creating a more equitable society. There will also be four educational sessions throughout the day, covering a range of topics.

AMED will be hosted entirely online via a conference platform.

Videos of the Annual Meeting and all educational sessions will be available to watch on-demand immediately following the live event.
