On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (the College) is hosting a virtual Employer Roundtable for employers who are located in Electoral District No. 2 with a specific focus on Ottawa.
Electoral District No. 2 comprises the southeastern part of the province and includes the country’s capital along with the communities which surround it.
If you are a social worker or social service worker employer in the Ottawa–Carleton area, please join us for this virtual event!
This virtual event will serve as a platform for meaningful discussions, allowing us to listen and gain valuable insights from employers. By understanding the current landscape and challenges, we aim to better support both employers and registrants in their practice.
The Roundtable will also provide employers with an interactive opportunity to:
- learn about the College’s public protection mandate;
- discuss the importance of registration; and
- explore some of the challenges that employers in Ottawa face today.
The College’s Director of Professional Practice, Christina Van Sickle, Registration and Renewals Supervisor, Shelby Sargo, will facilitate the discussion and look forward to employers’ participation and feedback.
